The weather in my neck of the woods:
It’s cold here.  We have freezing fog and when I went and ran errands around 3:00 it was only 25 degrees.   Typical winter where we live.

One of my simple pleasures:
Laughing with Bethel Girl

On my bedside table:
My read my bible through the year.  I wonder how long I will keep up with it this year.

On my TV:
Nothing much.  When I have time I’ve been watching the first season of McClouds Daughters.  I originally watched it up to season 7 and I just couldn’t bring myself to watch season 8.  It’s interesting watching it with “new” eyes.

On the menu for tonight:
Oh my I made this wonderful creamy, cauliflower, turkey soup.  I kind of mismashed a bunch of different recipes to come up with this.

On my To Do List:
School

Laundry

New Recipe I tried last week:
The soup I made tonight.  After I make a few changes maybe I’ll post it.

In the craft basket:
Sewing a binding on the quilt I finished over Christmas.  It’s for my sister and her husband.

Looking forward to:
Seeing what 2010 has in store for us.

Homemaking Tip for this week:
Change things up once in awhile.  We just rearranged our furniture and it’s nice to have the living room looking different, but not spending any money for a new living room.

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
Can’t think of one right at the moment.

Favorite photo from last week:

Lesson learned the past few days:
Sometimes when something looks overwhelming take a break from it and come back to it with fresh eyes.

On my Prayer List:
My mom’s surgery this week and also a possible move for our family.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
James 1:2-4

2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
