Moving onto week 2

Today we bumped up to Week 2 of the couch to 5K work out.  5 minutes of walking and 1 1/2 min of running and 2 minutes of brisk walking for 6 cycles and then a 5 minute cool down.   My distance increased by .4 of a mile over the week and lowered my time per mile.

I was excited to get out there today, but the first run/walk cycle kills me and I want to quit.   After I get past that first cycle I get into a grove and don’t mind that much.

Tonight I’m a little sore.  I did a pretty good job of stretching out afterwards so I think it’s just my muscles getting used to running.  I’m also noticing my core is tender sore.  Working those muscles that I’m not used to working.  Yeah!

My asthma is doing ok.  After my “wog” on Monday I really had a lot of coughing.   I’m used my inhaler right after running today hopefully preventing the flare up that I had on Tuesday.
